Astounding success for AGRO/Petersime Hatchery Management Seminar

The AGRO/Petersime hatchery management seminar took place on 9 and 10 May at the Bilkent Hotel in Ankara. The event attracted a total of 95 participants. Some 30 different hatcheries and integration specialists were present including Bolu Kalite, Beypi, Banvit, C.P. Standard Gida, Egetav, Erpilic, Hastavuk, Keskinoglu and Ross Breeders Anadolu, to name some.
The programme featured presentations by six different speakers including Prof. Dr Eddy Decuypere from the University of Leuven (Belgium), Petersime’s partner in incubation research. Dr Decuypere’s lecture on "Incubation as a hinge between broiler breeders and broiler production" was particularly engaging, leading to a lively discussion among the participants.
Not to be outdone, top Petersime management was also on hand to share its knowledge and experience. Speakers included Mr Christophe Bohez (Director), Mr Paul Degraeve (Director), Mr Roger Banwell (Senior Incubationist), Mr Kurt Haeck (Manager, Petersime Service Station) and Mr Ronny Van Hauteghem (Manager, Petersime Project Department). The following topics were presented and discussed:
• Petersime company overview
• Petersime's pioneering innovations in single-stage incubation (bio-response based developments and strategy)
• Petersime’s extensive comparative field trials and research
• The latest innovations in incubation and ongoing product development
• Opportunities for maximizing hatchery efficiency, from a customized layout to a full turnkey operation
• Petersime Service Station and its five centers: Spare Parts, Parts Repair, Performance Optimisation, Technical Documentation and International Hatchery Training
All presentation slides were shown in both English and Turkish, with simultaneous interpretation available at all of the sessions.
The feedback was extremely positive from everyone involved. AGRO was repeatedly congratulated for its organizational skills, while Petersime got congratulated for the breadth and depth of its lectures.
