Number of participants at Petersime’s Hatchery Training Centre on the rise again

(01/02/08)

Petersime’s Service Station recently welcomed its largest delegation ever. A total of 19 participants, including sixteen hatchery managers and three mechanical engineers, attended the last training session at Petersime’s in-house Hatchery Training Centre.

Most of the participants came from Russia, with the exception of three hatchery managers from Indonesia and two Danes. The course covered both technical and physiological topics such as user interface of controllers, non-linear incubation and control algorithms.

On the last day of class, the group was asked to analyse their (first) setter and hatcher history files. After the initial analysis phase, the group came to a consensus on how to fine-tune the different incubation programmes: adjustments for specific breeds, flock age, egg shell porosity, climate, environmental conditions, ambient conditions, etc.

Mr Vladimir Birjukov (Sibirskaja Hatchery, Russia): “I was more than pleased with the quality of material and professionalism of the trainers. The enthusiasm in the group grew exponentially as the days went by. It was also a great opportunity to be able to exchange ideas and experiences with the other trainees.”

The training sessions offered by Petersime’s Service Station are also open to non-Petersime customers. For more information, dates and details about these courses, contact the Service Station on +32 (0)9 388 96 11 or by e-mail at service@petersime.com.
