Hatchery accessories

Hatching eggs are ideally stored at an ambient humidity of 75 to 80% and at a temperature between 12 and 18°C (depending on the duration of storage).

Petersime delivers and installs egg room coolers and humidifiers that protect the dormant embryo, giving precise temperature control, proper air circulation and no dehydration!
Different humidifier capacities are available according to room size. Steam humidifiers are also available.

Setting the eggs directly into the setter trays at the parent stock farm offers distinct advantages:

» Fewer damaged or broken eggs because handling is
» reduced
» Significant labour savings

The Petersime setter trolley is ideal for transporting hatching eggs from the farm to the hatchery. The large rubber wheels are shock-absorbent. During transport, the trays are automatically locked in the horizontal position.

Hatching eggs that are stored for more than five days benefit from regular turning during storage. Petersime has designed automatic trolley turning systems of various capacities to suit all sizes of egg holding rooms.

The advantages of egg traying with a vacuum lifter are:

» It saves labour
» Fewer eggs get cracked or broken
» The eggs are not touched by hand

The complete assembly, including vacuum pump, is available with one or two egg lifters for one or two operators respectively.

More than ever, stringent hygiene procedures are essential in all hatcheries. Fumigation of hatching eggs, setter trolleys and trays prior to setting the eggs, is one of the most effective ways of removing bacterial contamination before it has the chance to spread within the incubators.

The fumigation room equipment delivered and installed by Petersime is designed for accurate and safe fumigation.
It is fully automatic, timer controlled and easy to use. At the end of the fumigation cycle, any fumes remaining are automatically evacuated before the green light is given to go into the room. Each system is sized exactly to the specific size of your hatchery.

Designed for small and medium sized hatcheries for manual candling and for transferring 150 chicken eggs at one time. Also available as a candling frame or transfer frame (without the trolley).

PTM PCM Two operators can transfer up to 40,000 hatching eggs per hour with the semiautomatic PTM (Petersime Transferring Machine). The actual capacity varies with the speed of the operators. In addition to the savings in labour, significant quality improvements will be achieved as hairline cracks in the shells of the eggs are eliminated. This results in consistently improved hatchability. The standard version is designed for Petersime plastic trays. Modifications for other types or makes are optional.

The PCM (Petersime Candling Machine) is an optional candling unit for use with the PTM.

The PTM and PCM are mounted on wheels for mobility. Both are made of stainless steel for durability and optimum hygiene.

Check all of your incubators at a glance with the Petersime Control Panel. This easy-to-operate control panel monitors up to 95 setters or hatchers. It continuously displays their operating or alarm status. The Petersime Control Panel is also capable of controlling other equipment such as non-Petersime incubators, air handling units, water chillers, etc. (any alarm input between 10 and 30 VDC).
The alarm panel is powered independently to protect the hatchery against power failure.

In many climates where cool water is not available, a water chiller is needed to produce chilled water.
The chilled water is used for cooling setters and hatchers and/or for supplying cold water to the air handling units within the hatchery.
The specialists within Petersime's Project Department will advise you on your specific hatchery project and the chiller capacity required.
Petersime has a comprehensive range of water chiller systems, designed and delivered complete with water tank, pumps and full technical documentation.

No hatchery should be without one. Don't put your eggs or chicks at risk. Petersime's Project Department can determine the exact generator capacity for your hatchery.

Increase your hygiene and efficiency with Petersime's automatic tray washers. Swift cleaning of setter and hatcher trays as well as chick boxes. Different capacities up to 450 trays per hour.
For fast drying, blow-off units installed inline with the washer are also available.

Mobile high-pressure washers are very handy tools for cleaning and disinfecting incubators, floors and walls.

Petersime's Automatic Disinfection System was specially developed for the timely, accurate and labour-saving disinfection of incubators.

Any non-corrosive liquid disinfectant, either diluted (e.g. 40% Formalin solution) or undiluted (100%) can be sprayed into the incubator through the humidifying nozzle within the incubator. In incubators with a plastic disc humidity system, an atomising nozzle needs to be installed. The viscosity of the disinfectant should be similar to that of water.
