Delmon Poultry Company, a key player in Bahrain’s poultry industry since 1980, recently upgraded its broiler hatchery in Al Hamalah to meet the growing market demand for chicken meat. Partnering with Petersime, the company’s aim is to enhance its production capacity and efficiency while maintaining the highest standards in poultry farming. With a total production capacity of 11.4 million day-old chicks per year, this upgrade project further boosts the production of local high-quality chicks.
Upgrading business to prepare for future growth
The upgraded broiler hatchery in Al Hamalah included the installation of 18 X-Streamer™ 8S HD setters and 6 X-Streamer™ 4H HD hatchers, alongside a tailor-made HVAC system provided by Petersime.
This important step marked the modernization of Delmon’s hatchery infrastructure, replacing the existing Petersime multi-stage incubators installed back in 1991 with Petersime’s latest intelligent single-stage incubator technology that guarantees higher performance, increased biosecurity and easier operational logistics.
A strong partnership that drives success
Having enjoyed successful partnerships in the past, Delmon Poultry Company has once again placed its trust in Petersime because of its top-notch equipment backed by outstanding support and service. “Petersime is our reliable partner for hatchery projects. They always keep their promises and respect deadlines. We're very happy with the round-the-clock support they offer us,” said Mr Isa Al Sairafi, Hatchery Manager at Delmon Poultry Company. “The Petersime technical team, with Boris Matviienko and Marc Torres, played a crucial role in ensuring a smooth process. They were always available and very knowledgeable, which made our own team feel confident as well,” he added.
The lifelong availability of spare parts was also considered as a big plus by Delmon. “We’re pleased with the durability of Petersime's equipment and the fact that spare parts can be ordered during the entire lifespan of the equipment. Also the preheating feature of the new machines is very interesting,” said Mr Isa Al Sairafi. Mr Aatef Mohsen Alsaleh, Chief Operation Officer at Delmon Poultry Company, added: “Everyone involved in the integration confirms that Delmon’s hatchability is the best in the region. The chicks in the farms look good and healthy. Comparing the results from before and after the switch from multi-stage to single-stage incubators, the numbers speak for themselves. Farmers now even face challenges to accommodate all the chicks in their farms.”
Thanks to the successful completion of this project and the partnership with Petersime, Delmon Poultry Company is bound to further strengthen its leadership position in Bahrein’s poultry industry.
