Casagrande chooses Petersime as strategic partner for top-notch technology and services

In addition to supplying complete hatchery solutions, we go the extra mile to make all-round services and training available worldwide, during the key stages of each hatchery project and over the incubators’ entire lifetime. With the commitment of a partnership for life, we have recently completed the first phase of Casagrande’s new broiler hatchery in Ecuador.
Casagrande is a poultry company based in Ecuador that comprises of 10 fully consolidated companies and counts more than 500 employees. The company aspires to continually adapt to the future, with a strong focus on innovation and improving the quality of its business. To apply that philosophy to BIGO, one of its brands of day-old chicks, Casagrande partnered with Petersime to establish its second broiler hatchery equipped with advanced incubators and technologies to offer the desired high-quality product.

Reflecting all new hatchery projects, our approach was to listen to Casagrande’s individual needs and make a plan of how Petersime’s solutions help the customer achieve its goals. We made sure Casagrande’s strong focus on innovation, quality and sustainability was aligned with what Petersime offers.
In the first phase of the project, we delivered and installed 6single-stage X-Streamer™ 16S HD setters and 2X-Streamer™ 8H HD hatchers with Embryo-Response Incubation™. Our unique incubation technology mimics the natural behaviour of the mother hen by continually monitoring and perfecting the incubation parameters to achieve the highest possible number of healthy, uniform day-old chicks.
“As Petersime’s equipment was new to us, our greatest challenge was to get acquainted with the technology,” said María Corrales and Iván Chávez, owners of Casagrande. “With the support of the Petersime team, we have fully grasped the Embryo-Response concept and its benefits. Petersime’s people have been strong in training us not only in equipment management, but also taught us how to enhance field variables.”
At Petersime, we are devoted to stand by the customer at every key stage of a hatchery project. In this project with Casagrande, Field Service Engineer Jose Luis Romero coordinated the installation from A to Z, while Global Technical Supervisor Leonardo Guzmán supervised the final installation of all equipment. He also provided in-depth technical training to help the Casagrande team start up its operations. In addition, Incubation Specialist Guillermo Reyes guided and advised the customer in achieving well-performing first egg setting and hatching cycles in the machines. All work in the first phase of the Casagrande installation was carried out with the local support of Petersime’s agent in Ecuador, Avicorp.

Besides improving the quality of its brand and product, Casagrande aims to further grow as a player in the national poultry market. That is why the company has decided to work with Petersime again to double its hatchery’s current production capacity, with the next installation already planned in 2023.
