Petersime assists in optimising your entire hatchery performance by looking beyond your incubators. We offer incubation training and hatchery management courses at starting, intermediate or more advanced levels, presented both online and in person.
Courses organised at a Petersime Training Centre
Hatchery Management Training
The Hatchery Management Training is set up for hatchery managers and their assistants that already have some experience with incubators and the hatchery workflow, but want to optimise their hatchery’s results.
During the training, ample attention is spent on egg management, logistics and HVAC systems. Participants will be able to significantly improve the bio-security in the hatchery. The training programme also incorporates courses on how to conduct comparative trials that include advanced hatch breakout sessions, and correctly analyse and interpret the results.
Single-Stage Incubator Training
The Single-Stage Incubator Training is designed for hatchery managers and their assistants that are not yet familiar with single-stage incubation, as well as for new hatchery staff.
After the Single-Stage Incubator Training, participants will be able to operate and program the X-Streamer™ (or BioStreamer™) with Operational Excellence Technology™. The training provides a basic understanding of the functionalities of the machine, including Embryo-Response Incubation™ technologies (OvoScan™, DWLS™, CO2NTROL™ and Synchro-Hatch™), machine hardware and hatchery management software (Eagle Trax™).
Moreover, insights are given on embryonic development and you will learn how to perform a hatch breakout session.
“Even though I have been a manager in this industry for over 30 years, I feel that I learned a lot and gained extensive knowledge. I can highly recommend this course to any hatchery manager.”
Eamon Kinahan, Hatchery Technical Service Manager at Cuddy Farms LTD
New since 2021: Hatchery Focus E-Training
Hatchery Focus E-Training is a series of monthly online training sessions for hatchery managers and technical staff who want to brush up on their hatchery knowledge and bring their operations to the next level.
In this programme, Petersime experts offer an in-depth focus on one incubational or technical topic per month and share their best practices on themes such as hatchery design, chick quality control procedures, hatchery biosecurity, incubator and HVAC maintenance, and many more. Members can choose to participate in the live training sessions, where they can interact with the expert and ask questions in real time. What’s more, each session is also being recorded so that members can (re)watch at any time thanks to a lifelong access to all completed topics.
The Hatchery Focus E-Training programme is locally coordinated in Belgium, Brazil, China and Malaysia and fine-tuned with topics that are most relevant to the customer’s regional interests. The sessions are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.
