Petersime Incubation Consultant

The Hatchery Management Training is designed for hatchery managers and their assistants who already have experience with incubators and the hatchery workflow and want to optimize their hatchery’s results.

During this intensive three-day training programme at the Petersime Customer Centre or a Regional Centre, technical and incubational experts at Petersime and partnering institutions spend ample attention on topics such as advanced incubation, egg management and more, as well as share their practical advice on how to significantly improve biosecurity and animal welfare in the hatchery. In this training, you will also learn how to conduct comparative trials that include advanced hatch breakout sessions, and how to correctly analyze and interpret the results.

Stephen Evans grew up on a poultry breeds preservation farm in Australia. After university, he worked for a leading poultry producer in the roles of farm manager and hatchery manager. Stephen has experience in all areas of the poultry industry: broiler chicken, layer chicken, turkey, duck, goose, guinea fowl, pheasant and quail. Passionate about passing on the knowledge he has gained, he leads Petersime’s team of Global Incubation Consultants.

Simona Gheorghitoiu graduated as a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine. She has worked for leading companies in the poultry business in the roles of farm manager and hatchery manager. Simona has experience in all areas of the poultry industry, with a focus on turkey hatching. As Global Incubation Consultant at Petersime, she offers assistance and advice in the important area of incubational support to help customers realize the performance potential of their birds.

Rui Barros is an experienced hatchery professional. After graduating with a degree in Animal Science, Rui held numerous positions in the hatchery business and gained a lot of experience, e.g. in the role of breeder manager and hatchery manager. As Global Incubation Consultant at Petersime, Rui’s role is to offer assistance and advice in the important area of incubational support to help customers realize the performance potential of their birds.
