Company & Positioning

Who is Petersime as a company?
Petersime is the global market leader in hatchery solutions for the poultry industry. From our headquarters in Olsene, Belgium, we develop, manufacture and deliver high‑technology incubators, hatchery software, climate control systems and turnkey hatcheries to customers in more than 150 countries.
Where is Petersime located and active?

Our headquarters are based in Olsene, Belgium, where all production is carried out on site within a vertically integrated chain from design to distribution. This gives us full control over every step. We also have regional centres in Içara (Brazil), Tianjin (China) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), supported by a global network of distributors and field technicians.

This combination of central expertise and local presence allows us to support customers worldwide quickly and effectively.

How does Petersime contribute to global food supply?

Most chicken meat and table eggs consumed worldwide originate from commercial incubators inside hatcheries. With more than 500 million chicks hatched every week in Petersime incubators, there is a strong chance that the chicken or egg on a plate anywhere in the world began its journey in a Petersime hatchery.

Our technology therefore plays a direct role in the global production of chicken meat and eggs, which is today the most affordable and sustainable source of animal protein.

What characterizes working with Petersime?

At Petersime, everything starts from one mindset: we put the customer at the centre, and we do that together. From production and sales to administration and service, we show initiative, take responsibility and focus on finding the best possible solution for the customer.

That mindset is equally present on the work floor. Despite being a global leader, Petersime maintains a warm, close‑knit atmosphere. This is reflected in the pride colleagues take in their work and in their commitment to customers and to each other. That spirit drives us to make a difference every day, from Olsene to the other side of the world.

Product & Technology

What makes Petersime incubators unique?
An incubator creates controlled conditions in which fertilized eggs develop into chicks. Temperature, ventilation and humidity are precisely regulated. What sets Petersime apart is that, in doing so, our incubators combine advanced sensor technology, biological insights (Embryo‑Response Incubation™) and data analysis (Eagle Trax™) to optimize the incubation process and deliver uniform, high‑quality chicks.
What is Embryo‑Response Incubation™ and why does it matter?
Embryo‑Response Incubation™ is our patented in‑house technology that mimics the natural interaction between a brooding hen and her eggs. The incubator responds dynamically to the needs of the embryo; it effectively “listens” to the developing chick. The result: improved hatchability, healthier chicks and a process that is more natural, precise and efficient than incubation methods based on fixed, pre‑programmed setpoints.
What is Eagle Trax™ and why is it important?
Eagle Trax™ is our cloud‑based hatchery software that provides full visibility of all hatchery processes. The platform collects and analyses data, detects deviations and supports better decision‑making. Eagle Trax™ helps customers continuously optimize their hatchery operations, improve performance and strengthen traceability – from egg to chick.

Customers & Solutions

Who are Petersime’s customers?
Petersime serves a wide range of customers: independent hatcheries, integrated poultry producers and international breeding companies. These customers work with various poultry species, including broilers, layers, turkeys and ducks. We support both smaller hatcheries and large‑scale operations aiming for maximum efficiency and return on investment.
What solutions does Petersime offer beyond machines?

Petersime provides complete hatchery solutions, not just incubators. We support the entire lifecycle of a hatchery: from feasibility study and hatchery design to installation, commissioning and long‑term after‑sales service.

Our after‑sales offering includes technical support, incubation consultancy, training, spare parts supply and repair services. This holistic approach ensures customers receive not only technology, but a complete ecosystem that keeps their hatchery efficient, reliable and future‑ready.

What does Petersime’s ‘partner for life’ model mean?

Our ‘partner for life’ model goes beyond products and services. It represents a long‑term collaboration in which we support customers through every phase of their hatchery, not only at start‑up, but also during growth, optimization and modernization.

We remain involved with advice, training, monitoring, data support and continuous improvement, helping customers maximize the return on their investment over the long term.

Innovation & Digitalization

How innovative is Petersime as a company?

Petersime has a long tradition of technological innovation. In 1922, we developed the very first electric incubator. Today, we continue that pioneering role by investing in R&D, innovative technologies and AI‑driven solutions.

A key example is the ongoing development of our Embryo‑Response Incubation™ technology. It is not a one‑time innovation; it evolves continuously with new biological insights and improved sensors.

Our Eagle Trax™ hatchery software also keeps expanding. What started as a single module has grown into a powerful cloud platform with multiple specialized modules, each designed to help hatcheries achieve maximum efficiency and predictable output. New features, such as integrated traceability, continue to make the platform more intelligent.

On top of this, we offer AI‑driven incubation services, where our experts analyse customer data, detect trends and deviations, and provide targeted recommendations to further improve performance.

Which R&D partners does Petersime work with?

Petersime collaborates with a broad network of leading research institutions to translate the latest insights from biology, engineering and data science into practical innovations for the hatchery sector.

In Belgium, we work with KU Leuven, Hasselt University, Ghent University and VIVES University of Applied Sciences. Internationally, we partner with Ankara University (Turkey), State University of Ponta Grossa (Brazil) and various other universities and research centres worldwide.

How does MyPetersime support customers through digital innovation?

Innovation at Petersime goes beyond technology. We also innovate in our services, including through digital tools such as MyPetersime.

MyPetersime is our digital customer portal where hatchery teams can access technical information, support and tools in one central environment. The portal also includes an AI‑driven chatbot that provides targeted answers, efficient searches through the knowledge base and access to additional learning materials such as videos and training modules.

Ambition & Growth

What sets Petersime apart from other players in the sector?

Our unique combination of technology, data, worldwide presence and a ‘partner for life’ approach makes Petersime more than a supplier: we are a strategic partner for the entire hatchery operation.

Our goal is to continue anticipating future trends and evolving customer needs, strengthening our leading position. At Petersime, innovation is not a department but a mindset shared across the company, with one purpose: helping customers get the most out of their hatchery throughout its entire life cycle.

How is Petersime evolving?

Petersime is active in more than 150 countries and continues the strong growth of recent years, reaching a milestone turnover of €100 million in 2024. This growth is the result of a clear strategy built on two pillars: technological innovation and customer‑centric service.

With solutions such as Embryo‑Response Incubation™ and Eagle Trax™, we continue to respond to the evolving needs of the sector and help customers further improve their performance.

At the same time, we are strengthening our organization and global presence to support customers even better. This is how we continue to build sustainable growth and increasing impact within the international poultry sector.
