Petersime launches its modular distance learning programme, a hands-on way to sharpen your hatchery team’s skills and know-how. With 90+ modules delivered as one-on-one webinars with a Petersime expert, this is a flexible and personal way to build knowledge where it matters most to your team. The programme covers a broad range of topics: from machine-specific guidance to practical troubleshooting, from core incubation principles to overall hatchery management.

Built around your team’s reality

In hatcheries across the world, generations of Petersime incubators and hatchery systems continue to run reliably – long after they have been replaced by newer models. But what happens when the people who know them inside out retire or move on? That knowledge gap can be a real risk. That’s exactly where our new modular distance learning programme comes in, offering a practical, hands-on way to keep knowledge alive and accessible

“We know hatcheries around the world rely on different generations of Petersime machines – from older designs to the latest models. No matter the generation, they all play a vital role in day-to-day operations. When experienced staff leave, someone new needs to pick things up fast. That’s why we’ve decided to introduce focused, one-on-one webinars to close that gap,” explains Kurt Haeck, Global Services Manager at Petersime.

But that’s just one part of the story. With more than 90 focused modules, the programme helps hatchery teams sharpen their skills on many different topics – from machine working and maintenance principles to practical hatchery management and deeper incubation knowledge. You select the modules most relevant to your needs, with a minimum of five modules required to ensure a solid learning path.

Personal interaction with real-time answers to questions

Each module is a live, interactive session between you and a Petersime expert. By selecting at least five modules, you create a structured learning path that keeps expert training both accessible and cost-effective. Unlike standard e-training, these webinars allow for one-on-one, real-time question-and-answer interaction, making the information focused, flexible and directly relevant to your daily work.

No travel – just schedule and learn

Training should be easy to access – and that’s exactly what this is. All you need is an internet connection and a time that suits you. Whether you want to tackle five topics or build a complete learning path over time, it’s entirely up to you. Each session lasts 60 to 90 minutes and is delivered in English by default, with other languages considered depending on availability (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese…). Afterwards, you receive a translated presentation.

From new hires to senior staff – something for every profile

Whether you are a new hatchery manager, an experienced technician looking to go deeper technically, or a senior profile looking to brush up on incubation knowledge, these modules support every profile. They are ideal for onboarding new hires, upskilling individual team members or filling knowledge gaps within the hatchery team. They are also very useful for training team members on machines that are no longer covered in standard training programmes, but still very much in use today.
