Aviagen Latin America completed a comprehensive modernization and expansion of its Luziânia hatchery in Goiás, Brazil. This upgrade reinforces the company’s position as a leading supplier of top-quality breeders. By integrating X-Streamer™ HD and Re-Store incubators together with Eagle Trax™ hatchery software, the hatchery now reaches a production potential of 3.6 million chicks annually, a significant increase compared with the previous setup.

Scaling up to meet growing demand with Petersime solutions
The previous structure of the hatchery in Luziânia was operating at the limit of its capacity, limiting scalability as demand for the Hubbard line grew. To support continued growth while maintaining consistent incubation performance, Aviagen decided to invest in a range of intelligent Petersime solutions capable of handling higher volumes, ensuring high standards of uniformity and maximizing operational efficiency. Choosing state-of-the-art Petersime solutions became a next step in solidifying a strategic partnership – reinforced by the strong confidence built through previous successful collaborations, where Aviagen experienced better technical results, stronger chick quality and more effective operational monitoring.
Advanced incubation technology and full-service support
The hatchery was upgraded with a comprehensive range of Petersime incubation and hatchery solutions, including X-Streamer™ HD 8S and HD 4S setters, X-Streamer™ HD 4H hatchers, an X-Streamer™ Re-Store 8S as well as the Basic, Maintenance and Trax modules of the Eagle Trax™ software. To translate this technological upgrade into immediate, hands-on performance, Petersime field engineers supervised installation and provided on-site training for Aviagen’s production and maintenance teams, ensuring a smooth start-up and effective knowledge transfer.
A proven partnership built on trust and expertise
This project builds on the long-standing collaboration between Aviagen and Petersime, based on previous successful hatchery projects. That track record reinforced confidence in Petersime’s equipment and service capabilities, delivering improved incubation performance, consistent chick quality and data-driven operational efficiency through Eagle Trax™.
“From the very start of the project, Petersime has been actively engaged and helped build a solid, sustainable and secure structure for our unit. After a few months of operation, we can confirm that we are providing highly controlled incubation environments that support the development of high-quality, robust embryos,” said Mr Kayo Paiva, Hatchery Supervisor at Aviagen’s Luziânia hatchery.
A strong foundation for sustainable growth
Thanks to this modernization, Aviagen can continue delivering breeders with superior genetic standards, reinforce customer confidence, and guarantee consistent hatchery results. By leveraging Petersime’s advanced incubation and hatchery solutions, Aviagen has enhanced efficiency, scalability and operational control, laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth and long-term success in the Latin American market.
